With the 2025 holiday season about to kick off, we’re excited to launch our new blog and newsletter — designed to help you eat, drink, and explore like a local. First up: the all-important question of where to go for the best brunches and lunches across Cornwall.
While you can stock up on our farm-grown seasonal veg, grass-fed Angus beef, carefully selected wines, small-batch artisan pastas and all sorts of deli delights from the farm shop at Cusgarne — sometimes it’s nice to press pause, step away from the kitchen, and let someone else do the hard work. Whether it’s a laid-back brunch, a leisurely lunch, or a proper feast with friends, Cornwall has no shortage of brilliant spots to sit back, relax, and simply enjoy good food.
From sea-view cafés to hidden village gems, Cornwall’s full of brilliant places to grab a coffee, settle in for a long lunch, or just pick up something for the beach. Here’s our tried-and-tested list, with a few personal favourites that you really shouldn’t miss.

An intimate café serving Indian-inspired light bites packed with flavour — a fun twist for your lunchtime cravings.
Sunshine Café, Penryn
Full of warm, yoga-studio energy and nourishing vegan and veggie-friendly dishes.
Bango, Penryn
If you fancy something Asian, Bango in penryn is a must try. We love their ramen, bao buns and salads.
South Coast Highlights
Port Navas Yacht Club
Without a doubt one of the best spots in Cornwall for lunch or dinner. Tucked away on the Helford, this place pairs beautiful, ingredient-led plates with a thoughtful wine list and a relaxed, understated setting. It’s the kind of place you want to tell everyone about — but also selfishly want to keep to yourself. Do check their opening times before you go, as they vary seasonally.

Potager, Constantine
One of our favourites for many years now, Potager is a gorgeous spot out in the countryside, with a big garden for kids to play in, and cafe in green houses, so you can get cosy if its a bit of a rainy day!
Flora, Near Helston
Set in a charming old courtyard, Flora is the perfect spot for beautifully presented lunches, pastries, and coffee. Great atmosphere and even better food.
Slice, Near Constantine
A standout for casual but flavour-packed brunches and lunches on the South Coast. Always welcoming and always delicious.
The Shipwrights, Helford Village
A proper pub with riverside views and classic pub lunches done right. A great post-walk reward.
Helford River Sailing Club
Not just for sailors! The club offers relaxed lunches and an unbeatable riverside location.
The Mussel Shoal, Porthleven
A seafood spot right on the harbour wall offering fresh mussels and fish dishes, served right on the harbour — one of those places where lunch comes with sea spray.
Origin Coffee, Porthleven
If you’re serious about your coffee, Origin is unmissable. Quality beans, expertly brewed, plus light lunches and pastries.
Crab Sandwich Bar, St Mawes
Simple, fresh, and perfect for a sunny day by the water.
Da Bara Bakery, St Mawes
Known far and wide for their cinnamon buns, but everything here is baked to perfection.
North Street Kitchen, Fowey
Now, we haven't yet been, but are firmly assured by friends that this is one of the best places in Fowey for seafood and vibes.
Tresanton, St Mawes
If you’re looking for a real treat, the terrace at Hotel Tresanton is the place — spectacular sea views and food to match.
Hidden Hut, Roseland
Famous and rightly so, alfresco food done so well.
Mylor Café, Mylor
Smoothies, eggs Benedict, and a bright, waterside vibe — a top breakfast or brunch option, especially if you’re sailing or walking the creekside paths.
Fat Apple Café, St Keverne
A relaxed, friendly stop for breakfast or lunch on the South Coast. Great for homemade, wholesome plates and a perfect break if you’re exploring the Lizard peninsula.
Wavecrest Café, The Lizard
Set atop the dramatic cliffs at Lizard Point, this little café is a go-to for hearty breakfasts and lunches with unforgettable views.
North Coast Highlights
Genki, St Agnes
A little garden café tucked away near Trevaunance Cove, perfect for laid-back breakfasts and relaxed coffee stops.
Lula’s, Godrevy
Burgers, beachy classics, and proper seaside comfort food — the perfect post-swim refuel.
Cove Cafe, Gwithian
Of Philleigh Way fame, Cove Cafe at Gwithian owned by Rupert, is a great spot for lunches over a glass of wine and beautiful views.

A local favourite for breakfasts with sweeping views of the surf and sand.

Gorse Bakery, North Coast
An excellent stop for fresh bread, pastries, and great coffee — one for the carb lovers.
Tinners Arms, Zennor
Not a brunch spot, but one of the best pubs, in our opinion, in Cornwall. Go for the roast, or prawn or crab sandwiches.
Porthmeor Beach Cafe, St Ives
One of our St Ives favourites, a great menu and beautiful views.
One to Watch
Nancarrow Farm
Known for its feasts and supper clubs, Nancarrow blends rustic charm with exceptional food. Keep an eye on their event listings — it’s always worth booking ahead.
